NikNaks are adorable creatures that evolved from the more primitive Bots that exist in Mainframe.
NikNaks are creatures that can be rescued and then added to factories as workers!
Rescuing NikNaks
Feral NikNaks roam the Mainframe. They are sick, and healing them requires feeding them the right herbs.
While sick, they are aggressive and will attack you
Running Factories
NikNaks can run Factories! As long as you build a house with beds in them for to recharge and sleep at night...
Once employed, stationary NikNak will stand at the location of employment and drop processed items one voxel behind them.
Sprite NikNaks, on the other hand, work like conveyor belts to move items across your base
