NikNaks are adorable creatures that evolved from the more primitive Bots that exist in Mainframe.

NikNaks are creatures that can be rescued and then added to factories as workers!

Rescuing NikNaks

To rescue a NikNak, approach it with your vacuum pack, which you wear like a backpack. Once you're close enough, keep your mouse cursor aimed at the creature to maintain suction. A timer counts down. If your aim wavers, the timer counts up, and some progress is lost. When the timer ticks down to 0, you successfully pulled the NikNak into your vacuum pack, and it’s added to one of the vacuum tubes within your backpack.

NikNaks in the wild are corrupted and aggressive. They won’t cooperate or contribute to your factories until they've been purified.

Running Factories

NikNaks can run Factories! As long as you build a house with beds in them for to recharge and sleep at night...

Once employed, stationary NikNak will stand at the location of employment and drop processed items one voxel behind them.

Sprite NikNaks, on the other hand, work like conveyor belts to move items across your base

Remember... NikNaks need to sleep... if you tire them out and do not build safe homes with beds for them to sleep at night... they might collapse of fatigue...

NikNak Species

There are many different types of species! You can rate them on Rate-A-NikNak

NikNak Personalities

When you rescue a NikNak, they have different personalities that affect how they might behave in your factory!
